Q: How long will my window installation take?
A: "Unless you have a house full of windows, typically about one day. In a 1,500-square-foot house, we can start early in the morning and complete all the windows and doors by 4:30 that afternoon."
Q: How are you about clean up?
A: "We’re very conscientious about clean up. We put down plastic tarps inside and outside, tape off all areas and set a clear carpet protector. We’re also a lead abatement renovator, so we’re trained in completely sealing a room to control dust, dirt and debris. We know how to isolate electronic devices. If someone has asthma or is sensitive to different odors, we can seal off an entire work area, do the job and get back out without harming their day-to-day routine."
Q: If it’s a two-day job, will I have no windows overnight?
A: "No. We’ll only remove the windows or doors we can complete that day. Overnight, the house is airtight, watertight and burglarproof."
Q: Are your employees trustworthy?
A: "Absolutely. We run background checks on all our employees. We've done jobs at San Quentin and the Pleasant Hill Police Department, and we also work with the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Coast Guard."
Q: Do I have to replace my windows with the same style?
A: "Our estimators can consult with every customer on an individual basis and show them many options. You don't have to replace a sliding window with another sliding window—you can put in a bay, garden, bow, single hung, or casement. There are many options for changing window styles and still meeting local building codes and ordinances."
Q: Do I need a building permit?
A: "Permit requirements vary by city. If permits are needed, we’ll obtain them. We can consult and recommend proper windows based on county, city, and government fire, safety and building codes."
Q: Will you remove and re-hang my window coverings?
A: "Special circumstances like that can be discussed with your estimator."
Q: Do I have to re-paint my walls inside or outside?
A: "No. On retrofit applications, our process includes new window trim that’s only slightly larger than the old trim, so there’s no need to repaint."
Q: What if there’s rock or brick trim on the outside of my home?
A: "We can cover the old aluminum window frame and leave the rock or brick intact."
