A: "There’s no simple answer, because it’s not based on square footage or similar factors. We have to come out and look at the project site to assess the price range, and then we’ll prepare an estimate based on the specific parameters."

A: "We work with a wide range of materials, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages based on the design and budget of your decking project. Before choosing a material, you should determine how much maintenance you’re willing to do."
Q: How much maintenance will my deck require?
A: "It’s hard to improve on the look of wood, especially when it’s brand new. To keep it looking that way takes work and money—you can’t leave wood out in the weather and expect it to stay looking like new. Redwood, for example, is very soft and can erode without a good finish. Redwood decks need to be cleaned and stained every two years. Exotic hardwood decks need to be refinished, cleaned and restained annually."
Q: How do I know which composite or synthetic material to use?
A: "It depends on the appearance you prefer and how much maintenance you’re willing to tolerate. AZEK synthetic products, for example, are very easy to clean up. If you spill something oily on EverGrain or Trex composite products, however, the stain will be absorbed forever."
