Q: What’s the difference between regular paint and non-VOC paint?
A: "VOC stands for volatile organic compounds. In this case, it basically refers to the gases that are emitted from paint, which have an adverse effect on human health and the environment. We use a few brands of non-VOC paint from Benjamin Moore. They have less of an effect on air quality, so if we’re doing work in your home, you can move back sooner without fear of health repercussions."
Q: Can I be home while you’re doing the work?
A: "It depends on the scope of the work and how much you’re able to tolerate. If you want to stay but need access to a kitchen or a bathroom, we can set up mini-versions in an area of the house where we’re not working."
Q: What’s your position on Green building?
A: "Green building is a commitment to lasting, sustainable quality of both design and construction. But no matter how Green a project’s techniques and materials, if the quality is poor or wasteful, it isn’t really Green. That’s one reason we’re so proud to give new life to existing buildings, remodeling them to serve the future."
