Q: How long does a typical bathroom or kitchen remodeling project take to complete? How much will it cost?
A: "It depends, because every project is unique. In our kitchen and bathroom seminars, we talk about three different levels of remodeling, each with its own price range and timing. The schedule often has to do with the client’s level of involvement, the scope of the work, and the selection and delivery of materials."
Q: How do you charge for handyman work?
A: "Typically, we’re asked to do projects that take a day or less. We charge on an hourly basis with a two-hour minimum, plus any material costs. The hourly rate and time estimate is based on what a client tells us the project will entail. We’ll schedule an appointment for a handyman to look at the job and review the plan to make sure the estimate is realistic. With the client’s authorization, work can usually begin immediately."
Q: Do you carry adequate workers’ compensation and liability insurance?
A: "Yes."
Q: Can you help with tax incentives for new projects?
A: "Yes. We’ve documented the energy-efficiency tax credits that are available to California homeowners."
