Q: How long does it normally take a carpet to dry?
A: "Ultimately, all rug cleaning depends on the type of fabric, the amount of soiling and the weather. We try to manipulate these variables so dry times are kept to a minimum. It could be as short as an hour or less, or as long as six to eight hours. We prefer to never have anything take longer than 24 hours, but if a carpet is horribly soiled, it will inevitably take longer to dry. But usually, the normal time is one to eight hours."
Q: Can you save a carpet that has serious spots or has been damaged by water?
A: "Barry’s Carpet Service, Inc. is known in the Monterey area as the cleaner of last resort. When all else fails, people call us. More often than not, we can save a carpet that would otherwise need to be replaced."
Q: Do you use any Green products?
A: "Yes, we sometimes use Green products and keep them on the trucks. Usually, unless the customer specifically requests a Green product, we’ll use whatever we feel best suits the application. But even the products we use that aren’t technically considered “Green” are very safe."
Q: Besides carpets and upholstery, what else do you clean?
A: "We also clean area and Oriental rugs, hardwood, and other hard surfaces such as stone, tile and grout, vinyl and BCT tile."
Q: What about guarantees on your work?
A: "We have a satisfaction guarantee. If there’s ever a question or complaint, we’ll come back the same day or the next day and do our best to resolve it. If it’s our problem, we’ll fix it. If it’s not, we’ll explain to the customer how we can best treat the problem. We’re very responsible and responsive."
Q: Do you ever have special offers for your customers?
A: "Yes. Be sure to check our website for our online specials."
