Q: How long will my repair take?
A: "It depends on the work, but if you’re waiting for your car, we try to get you in and out as quickly as possible. There’s also local shopping and eating around, so you can drop off your car and come back later."
Q: I know about oil changes, but what about brake, transmission and power steering flushes? Are they really necessary?
A: "In today’s economy, it’s hard to convince people they need maintenance. But things like a cooling flush, brake flush and power steering flush are just as important as an oil change. We don’t just recommend it as a matter of course. We’ll actually test other fluids every time you change your oil and recommend only what you need."
Q: Your warranty is better than most auto repair shops. What’s the catch?
A: "No catch. Because we use quality parts, we’re much more confident they’re going to last, so we’re comfortable offering a generous warranty."
Q: I’m having issues with my car and I’m thinking a tune-up might help. Is that a good decision?
A: "Sometimes. But often a tune-up won’t solve your issues. When you come in requesting a tune-up, we really try to understand what’s going on with your car. We don’t want you spending money on work that doesn’t address the underlying problem."
Q: How much will it cost to repair my car?
A: "We can’t provide a written estimate until we inspect your car. We can tell you what a certain service normally costs, but each car is different. For example, a manufacturer might recommend replacing the air filter at 60,000 miles, but if we look at it and see it was replaced about 1,000 miles ago, we’re not going to do it again, which will save you some money."
Q: When will my car be ready?
A: "The vast majority of our repairs can be done in one day, with the exception of cars that are brought in late in the day."
Q: Do you provide free estimates?
A: "Yes, unless there’s a diagnosis that requires disassembling the car. About 85 percent of our estimates are free."
