How to Bring “the Outside In”

Some of the possibilities include patio additions, sun rooms, glass doors, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, skylights, and even water features.

But what if you live in a tight space, say a condo or small house, without any yard at all? Mr. Runnals says you might add skylights, atrium rooms or a bay window. Another idea for the kitchen is to pop out the window behind your sink and add shelves for potted herbs. You’ll have improved lighting along with fresh herbs for dinner! The most important thing is to invest in improvements that help you enjoy your home.
