“Everything we do includes a lifetime guarantee,” says owner Scott Yeaman. “Our number one priority is making sure our customer satisfaction level stays high. I’ve had cars come back eight or 10 years later with problems and we repair them with no questions asked.

“We’re especially good at cutting out damaged unibody areas and welding in new pieces so a car drives properly,” he continues. “Diagnosing and repairing bent suspension problems is another area of our expertise.”

Yeaman Auto Body focuses on using quality used parts when needed, and can identify aftermarket parts to avoid. “We make sure we work on our customers’ cars the way we’d work on our own cars,” says Mr. Yeaman. “That’s why I don’t give a lifetime warranty on some aftermarket parts.”

Negotiating between customers and automobile insurance companies is another important area for Yeaman Auto Body. “Many insurance companies don’t mind when cars are fixed improperly,” notes Mr. Yeaman. “They want repairs done as cheaply as possible and leave the shop responsible when there are complaints.” Customers need to have someone who’s on their side to make sure repairs are done properly and payments are covered, he says.

Yeaman Auto Body incorporates environmentally safe practices when possible, including the use of water-based paints without solvents or with low VOCs (volatile organic compounds). It also uses a wash pad to collect paint water or other solvents so they don’t drain into the sewer. “All our people are highly trained, and we have frame machines and paint booths to run a shop properly,” says Mr. Yeaman.
