Springer Collision Centers has locations in Gilroy and San Jose.

Springer Collision Centers offers a wide range of auto body services to Santa Clara County motorists from two locations in Gilroy and San Jose. It handles frame and suspension work, paintless repairs, glass removal and replacement, wheel alignment and more. Owner Steve Springer says his company’s most important characteristic is its outstanding customer service and listening skills. “On average, someone gets into an accident only once every seven years. It’s a foreign experience to them; they’re not experts on car repair. We listen to them and help them through the process.”

All of Springer Collision Centers’ technicians are I-CAR certified, which means they’re specially trained and independently certified to provide quality repairs. Mr. Springer explains that the technicians in I-CAR certified shops are knowledgeable about the latest vehicle models and industry technologies. “I-CAR keeps us up-to-date. Without it, our technicians wouldn’t know how to work with hybrids, waterborne paints or aluminum welding techniques.”

Springer Collision Centers uses waterborne PPG paints, which release a minimum amount of chemicals into the air once the paint is applied to a car. “PPG paints are less caustic,” says Mr. Springer. “They have lower volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are the elements that create smog and air pollution.”

When customers’ cars are finished being repaired, Springer Collision Centers provides an itemized list of all the work that’s been done. “That way, customers can see exactly what parts we replaced and painted,” says Mr. Springer. “There are no surprises.”

Springer Collision Centers is a member of the Fix Auto Network, which surveys customers for quality control and provides its member shops with information on job performance and best practices. “There are only 177 auto body shops nationwide that have earned membership,” says Mr. Springer. “The network allows us to move cars through the shop faster, helps us provide more economical repairs, and saves our customers money by lowering their insurance premiums.”
