Pleasanton-based Precision Auto Repair specializes in repairing and maintaining models such as Acura, Honda, Lexus and Toyota. Many of the shop’s ASE-certified technicians have dealership experience, which makes them very knowledgeable about particular vehicles. “When we service cars, we give customers evaluation reports,” says owner Tyler Edgren. “Those let them know what's wrong and explain the issues that need to be immediately addressed. We can put together a list and prioritize the work. We want our customers to be able to make good decisions about vehicle maintenance.”
Precision Auto Repair’s shop is 9,500 square feet and features 12 racks, alignment machines, a smog bay, and a waiting area with coffee, tea, newspapers, and toys for children to play with while their parents are waiting. Two service writers, a service manager with more than 10 years’ experience, and a knowledgeable technical staff provide customer service with courtesy and integrity, says Mr. Edgren.
Precision Auto Repair operates a complimentary shuttle in the morning, and loaner cars are also available. “We try to get cars in and out in one day,” notes Mr. Edgren. “We complete quotes upfront, and we let customers know exactly how much the work will cost before proceeding. If there are additional repairs required after work begins, we always call to let customers know.”
Precision Auto Repair can handle everything from simple oil changes to engine overhauls. “Our prices are significantly lower than many other shops,” says Mr. Edgren, “and we minimize inconvenience for customers by getting vehicles done right the first time. I'm not only the owner; I actually work in the shop alongside our technicians.”
