Pimentel Paving, Inc. Comparative Summary

Co-owner Joe Pimentel supervises each of Pimentel Paving’s jobs. “That’s the biggest difference between us and our competition,” says Mr. Pimentel’s wife, co-owner Carolyn Pimentel. “Our clients get the expertise of our owner, who has a vested interest in the company, right there on the jobsite. Joe started paving with his grandfather as a kid, and doing a quality paving job is like at art to him.”

Customer service is another important aspect of Pimentel Paving’s approach. “We treat every customer as if they were family,” says Mrs. Pimentel. “We respect them, and we want to provide them with the best possible paving job.” When customers call the company, service begins with a company representative and continues until the job is completed to their satisfaction. “If there’s a problem, we’ll go back and fix it.”

Pimentel Paving offers a variety of products and services, including conventional and stamped asphalt, and employs infrared asphalt heaters that can smooth and reshape surfaces to repair holes and cracks after projects have been completed. The company also offers a Green alternative to asphalt called TerraPave—decomposed granite mixed with a specialized bonding agent made from pine tar. “It’s all-natural and great for the environment, even in sensitive riparian and wetland areas,” says Mrs. Pimentel.

Pimentel Paving’s business philosophy is driven by the name on the company’s letterhead. “It means a lot when a company has their family name on the line,” says Mrs. Pimentel. “Our customers are guaranteed to receive excellent quality and service.”
