Handyman/home repair companies are always looking for ways to discern themselves from their competition, and those that have earned the prestigious Diamond Certified award are already several steps ahead. Mr. Fixit Inc. supplements its Diamond Certified status by taking an all-inclusive approach to home repair projects. The company handles jobs of every size, from small tasks like changing light bulbs to large-scale kitchen and bathroom remodels. “Most of our customers start with small projects, but when they see they can rely on the quality of our work and our professionalism, they trust us with larger remodeling projects,” says owner Chuck Eisenhower.
Unlike home repair companies that split their resources between numerous overlapping projects, Mr. Fixit only takes on one large job at a time. “We start on schedule and don’t leave until the job is finished,” says Mr. Eisenhower. “We work that job until the customer is completely satisfied, and then we move on to the next one.”
Because Mr. Fixit holds multiple licenses for general contracting and electrical and plumbing work, it’s able to work without the aid of subcontractors, an attribute that provides its clients with “one-stop” home repair experiences. “We can control the schedules and costs of our projects, because everything is under one roof,” says Mr. Eisenhower. “We’re able to keep costs down and pass those savings to our clients.”
Mr. Fixit’s team members have been with the firm for several years and possess expertise that spans the entire range of the home improvement trade. “We each have our own specialty,” says Mr. Eisenhower. “My background, for example, is in plumbing, but we have people with all sorts of skill sets. Our tile setter, Justin, has been with us for four years and had another five or six years of experience before that. All our employees utilize their wealth of industry knowledge on every project, no matter what size.”
