Few interior design firms earn the prestigious Diamond Certified award, which means they’ve been independently rated Highest in Quality. Even fewer can also claim a group of owners with more than 100 years of combined industry experience, but that’s exactly the case for J. Hettinger Interiors. “We provide our clients with a wealth of experience and expertise under one roof,” affirms co-owner Dorene Gomez. “They know we have what it takes to handle every step of their projects and make sure their design visions come to life.”

J. Hettinger Interiors has been providing interior design services for residential and commercial clients throughout the Bay Area since 1980. The company’s designers have the training and resources to take on all types of projects, from traditional to contemporary, and their direct service allows them to expedite custom orders without dealing with a “middle man.”

Unlike interior design firms that only serve clients with large budgets, J. Hettinger Interiors works with all types of price points and provides the same high level of service on every job, regardless of its size. “A lot of our clients are surprised to find out how competitive our prices are,” says Ms. Gomez. “We carry products from 350 different manufacturers, so we have the styles, materials and prices that our clients are looking for. We find the right solution for their needs every time, and that’s important.”

J. Hettinger Interiors further differentiates itself from its competition by having four experienced in-house designers who work separately with clients while keeping themselves open for collaboration. “We have the flexibility to be hands-on with every client, and the working relationships we have with each other allow us to present a team-like approach,” explains Ms. Gomez. “We each work on our own projects, but since we’re all in the same office, we can ask each other for input, share ideas and get feedback. That means our clients get the benefits of a team even when they’re working with a single designer.”
