San Francisco’s Cummins Construction works on residential and commercial remodeling projects throughout the Bay Area. It specializes in Green Building and can handle everything from kitchen and bathroom remodels to deck construction and foundation repair.
Cummins Construction prides itself on taking a minimally invasive approach to building. “Sometimes customers want to stay in their house while it’s being remodeled,” says owner Colette Cummins. “That situation is really dependent on the scope of the work and how much the homeowners are able to tolerate. If our customers want to stay but need access to a kitchen or a bathroom, we can set up mini-versions in areas where we’re not working.”
Ms. Cummins, a native of Ireland who comes from a family of builders, says she promotes a collaborative approach to each project. “Our staff understands the necessity for clear communication,” she says, “and we commit to providing professional service based on personal integrity and honest dealings.”
As a member of Bay Area nonprofit organization Build It Green, Cummins Construction promotes Green building and sustainable site development whenever it can. Ms. Cummins is an accredited sustainable building advisor and Certified Green Building Professional, and she says those distinctions confirm her commitment to lasting quality in both design and construction. “It doesn’t matter how Green a project’s techniques and materials are if the quality is poor or wasteful. We’re proud to give new life to existing buildings and remodel them to serve the future.”
