Cornerstone Home Design can provide all the materials necessary for a kitchen remodel.

Kitchen and bathroom showrooms are always looking for ways to distinguish themselves from their competition, and those that have earned the prestigious Diamond Certified award are already several steps ahead. In addition to its Diamond Certified status, Cornerstone Home Design sets itself apart by offering in-house design services that allow customers to fully customize their kitchen and bathroom projects. “We make the remodeling process easy for our customers,” says owner Benson Fong. “We stock most of our products right in our showroom, so people can come in and see exactly what they’re buying.”

Cornerstone Home Design has been providing home remodeling products and building materials for clients throughout the Bay Area since 2005. The company’s 17,000-square-foot showroom in South San Francisco carries everything from kitchen cabinets and plumbing fixtures to granite countertops and marble tile. “We import marble and granite and purchase cabinets and fixtures directly from manufacturers, so we’re able to offer highly competitive prices,” adds Mr. Fong.

Unlike many kitchen and bathroom showrooms that only sell half-inch thick granite countertops because of shipping and budgetary limitations, Cornerstone Home Design takes pride in its ability to offer pre-fabricated granite countertops that are three-quarters of an inch thick, cut to size and have their edges finished at the company’s overseas factory. “Also, since we’re able to reduce fabrication and material costs on those countertops, we’re able to pass the savings to our customers,” says Mr. Fong.

Another distinguishing characteristic of Cornerstone Home Design is its comprehensive approach to quality control, which includes inspecting and approving every product that’s delivered to its showroom and replacing faulty products without hesitation. “We make sure our customers are always happy with our products and services, because happy customers will refer other people to us,” says Mr. Fong. “We never want our customers to discover a problem once their products have been delivered and installed. That’s why quality control is so important to us.”
