Few companies in the plastering field earn the prestigious Diamond Certified award, which means they’ve been independently rated Highest in Quality. Fewer still can claim an owner who’s been involved in the trade for more than two decades, but that’s exactly the case for Arevalo Plastering, Inc. Master craftsman Arnoldo Arevalo entered the plastering and stucco industry as an apprentice when he was just 17 years old. After spending 20 years learning every aspect of the trade, he established his own company with his wife, Susan-Jane, and began serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Greater Bay Area. “Our service is extremely personal,” says Mrs. Arevalo. “Arnoldo and I are on the jobsite most of the time, and Arnoldo usually does the finish work himself, bringing his meticulous attention to detail and artistic sensibilities to the final touches.”
Arevalo Plastering handles both interior plastering and exterior stucco work for projects ranging from new construction to restorations and repairs. “We proudly emphasize that we specialize in stucco,” says Mrs. Arevalo. “The plaster and stucco trade is very challenging, and companies that do many types of contracting often don’t do stucco very well.” For other types of work, the firm usually partners with an outside contractor, eliminating the need for customers to find more than one company. “We don’t seek out other types of work, but if we discover dry rot, for example, we can work with another contractor to get that repaired.”
Another discerning characteristic of Arevalo Plastering is its insistence on only using high-quality products, including La Habra stucco by industry leader Parax. “La Habra stucco resists cracking better than other brands and can be easily repaired,” says Mrs. Arevalo. “It’s less expensive than other products and offers a natural Tuscan look.” The company also keeps up with new product developments and industry trends in order to offer its clients the most advanced stucco and plaster services possible.
