Doctor Peter Panagotacos specializes in surgical and medical treatments for hair restoration. He has been performing hair restoration surgery since 1969, when he began his residency.
Dr. Panangotacos opened his dermatology practice in San Francisco in 1974 and estimates that he has performed well over 10,000 hair restoration surgeries. Today, with improvements in surgical techniques and advances in medicine, he believes that something can be done about hair loss for nearly everyone, male or female, youthful or elderly.
Dr. Panagotacos meets with all of his patients for their initial consultations for hair loss, for which there is no charge, and performs all surgeries and check-up visits.
A Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Panagotacos teaches hair restoration internationally and general dermatology to medical interns and residents at two San Francisco Bay Area hospitals. He is a well-known pioneer in pharmaceutical treatments for hair loss. The Wall Street Journal has quoted him as an innovator in prescribing Finasteride and Retin-A.
