It’s hard to believe that Luiz Porta has been working on cars for over 25 years until you realize that he began his career at age 13. He opened the doors to Fremont Foreign Auto five years ago – quite an accomplishment for a man who came to the United States with eight dollars in his pocket.

Fremont Foreign Auto accepts most foreign, some domestic and many exotic vehicles (see their web site for a complete list of makes they work on). Tasks that range from changing spark plugs to overhauling engines are performed with equal skill. The primary goal is to do what’s best for the customer and their vehicle. If there’s somebody they feel is better qualified to perform a particular service, they’ll refer the customer to them. They’re also very particular about the parts they use – only original manufacturers’ parts will do. The shop is immaculate and very customer friendly. Visit their web site, click on the ‘web camera’ link on the home page, and you can watch them work on your car, live! They’ll even provide photos of the work they performed and the parts they removed to help you understand what was done to your car, and why. All work is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
